Falls are a prevalent issue for the elderly and in honor of it being Fall Awareness week, our team at Attentive Care Inc. want to make sure that you have the proper information to ensure that you or your loved ones are safe.<\/p>\n

There are many factors that are attributed to falls such as poor vision, heart or health problems, and medication that makes you sleepy or tired. Falls with or without injury also can affect other aspects of life. Due to the increased fear of falling, there is a growing number of older adults that limit their activity levels and amounts of social activity in order to \u201cstay safe\u201d. This can lead to feelings of helplessness, physical decline, and depression. Luckily, although falls are the leading cause of injury among older adults, they are both predictable and preventable.<\/p>\n
